josh- slideshow/ mediocre sean- animatic/ great dylan- animatic/ confusing sam- animatic/ hard to understand aaron- slideshow/ didn't work me- animatic/ add how i got into the piece
The presentation is most important here. He wants to be able to understand EXACTLY what is going to happen in the project by looking at the story board.
Sean, and Jade were the only ones he felt were good. Bring in a new one that is BETTER than Sean, and Jade's pieces.
Joshua Smith-Nice attention to camera angles Sean Cambell-Funny, nice use of still image, continue with the sill image puppet look Dylan-Drawn Storyboard animatic, very nice looking, undistinguished narrative Sam-Real Life shift to animated state Aaron Sanders-->UMaine IT Fail John Mondor-->Go More in depth with your narrative Jade-->Perfect
Sean and Jade - excellent examples of what Raph is looking for
Others had good attempts, but didn't quite hit the mark
Most important thing to understand about the storyboard process, is to be able to present to others exactly what is happening both in your head and on the screen clearly
Email artistic intent paragraph by tonight and everyone else presents Thursday
Notes
ReplyDelete- Jade and Sean both examples of what would be done
- People who did not present should try to beat them
- Display clear idea of what we are trying to show
- Include text description of what is happening
- Show how you are getting from here to there
Notes- 4/23/10

Sean and Jade had very good storyboards in my eyes
ReplyDeletePeople who didn't present probably had shitty ones and that is why they didn't volunteer to be first
Display clear ideas of what you are trying to show in order to make sure the viewer can follow the storyboard
Sam and Jade need to show a better understanding of how they got into the piece
webcam class with raph
ReplyDelete-push presentation of storyboard for next class
-include text description of what is happening in the frame
-save powerpoint presentation as an earlier version so it will actually work

Raph through iChat
ReplyDeleteSome people presented story boards/ annimatics today
Mine and Jade's were good
Jade needs to add how she is getting into the piece
Other people who preseneted need to have better descriptions/ideas of how they are getting into the piece
Getting into the piece is one of the most important parts
If presenting Thursday your storyboard/ annimatic needs to be really good since it is the jumping off point for the piece
Raph live..ish and in color!(Pixelated.)
ReplyDeleteSean and Jade did well, what he was looking for.
Josh, Mine, sort of sam- need more to get into the world.
Dylan-good idea. for him.
Email description by tonight.
Sean and jade-great animatics.
ReplyDeleteeveryone needs to stride to be as good or better than theirs.
My piece- sucked. not animatic, not clear on the transitions, not inventive, idea is boring. overall garbage.
other pieces overall not bad, just need to flesh out what their missing.
Email raph with paragraphs tonight.

-Raph was cutting out a lot
ReplyDelete-transitions between animatic and real world are important
-storybaords needs to explain method as well as concept
