Raph was not in class today due to illness making it an video class. Where as usual the audio and video had an awesome tendency to flip out, but only when Raph was trying to speak. Todays class went well though, and I feel like I have a better idea of what he was looking for in our storyboard.
Class went well today, but Raph wasn't in today because of sickness. It was too bad not all of us could share our storyboards but he seemed to like mine, even though I forgot a crucial part of it. I have to agree with Zack, the audio was reallllly bad and I could not understand a thing Raph was saying at times. I suggest Skype for that kind of stuff, its way clearer. Anyone agree? Anyway yeah I think now that people have seen what the storyboards/animatics should look like I think there will be some nice things for next class. I am going to add in the part I forgot and hopefully it will be completely finished enough for him.
The audio was kind of crappy but today's storyboard examples were helpful to show me what I needed to do to improve my own. I have some frames to tweak to make the storyboard more clear.
As everyone else has comment the audio was horrible. It was probably because of the storm so I'm not even sure if Skype would have made all the difference. It might have helped a bit though. The class overall went well, and I can't wait to spice up my storyboard for next class.
I also wanted to mention how the labs don't have updated software. It's sad really not to mention most of the computer labs that I know of don't allow you to actually open a PDF in acrobat. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.
Raph was not in due to the rain as i would not have been except for the presentations. Mine of course didn't work typical upgrade problems but at least I get a chance to redo it and yes I am def redoing it.
Raph didn't feel well so he came to us via pixelation and choppy audio. I honestly didn't understand much of what was said, at least during the second half of class. I realized how terrible my storyboard is, and I want to make some much needed changes to it for thursdays class. I thought Sam and Dylan made some pretty cool animatics effort wise, much more than I did anyways. I'm still working on a stronger narrative, since my original piece was quite odd and nonlinear in terms of story I'm having a great time working a story out that makes a little bit of sense.
Gah! I had a nice reflection typed out but it got wiped for some reason :(
Today's class was ok, it wasn't great because of a combination of the weather, connection issues, and Raph being sick. I feel that I got a better understanding of what Raph is looking for after seeing what's been shown so far, I know that I need to go back and adjust/add a few things before next class. Pray for sunshine and a healthy Raph for Thursday!

This made it very difficult because Raph kept breaking up and you could only hear 1/10 of what he was saying which made it very hard to hear his comments. I'm really happy with the way my animatic came out because my original idea really sucked. I'm excited to see what other people bring in on Thursday.
Not a big fan of today's class, I think it would have been more productive if we uploaded our animatics to youtube or something where we all could have just watched them from home and given thoughts or ideas to the conference. Instead, we each had about 5 minutes of talking to Raph, pixelated and choppy audio, and came out with not much more than what we started with.
Anyway, I need to think about my transition into the world, but I think that my story in the world itself is going to be pretty cool.
raph wasn't in class. Instead he did webchat. Projects were overall not bad, aside from mine. I understand it wasn't perfect, but whatever. gotta try to redo the project for thursday, and attempt to make it less crappy.
i dont want jade to be the only one left out, but I forgot the transition from the real world into the animatic and back as well. I thought a real life self transitioning into the animatic self and back was acceptable, but in mine it all takes place in the animatic world. Sorry to leave you hanging, im gonna go look for my balls now.

I'll have to present on thursday, but my storyboad is pretty technical as well as conceptual so I think I'll be ok.
